Thread: Keti Sharif A-Z course?

Is anyone on Bhuz actually using the Keti Sharif A-Z syllabus? She seems to have a lot of certified instructors in the US, but I've never met anyone who actually teaches it.

Anyone here care to talk about teaching this method?

I am only certified with A-Z original, and I have the teacher course but haven't completed it yet.

Basically, in the first course you learn the A-Z combos. In the Teacher course, you learn more about teaching those combos to others. You also learn about being a teacher and what's involved in re: to that.

I've purchased several courses from several different people and I think Keti's offers a more complete training course that includes dance solo and troupe combinations.

Most other programs just offer teaching skill training.

I'd recommend Kawakib's "Guide to Teaching MidEastern Dance" too. It has a lot of practical info on how to start and run a class and it's really inexpensive.

Anna, thank you! I assume you plan on finishing the teacher training course. Do you plan on teaching classes based in this method? Or is it more of a general "how to teach bellydance" rather than "How to teach a class based on my A-Z concept" ?

I do plan to finish, though I've been a little sidetracked.

IMO - the program is more how to teach a class based on the A-Z concept and Keti's combos. Because the program comes with pre-made combos, it would be useful for the beginning teacher that hasn't created his/her own combos yet or would like to use someone elses.

I am looking for the Keti Sharif A-Z Advanced Course 2. Anyone got one for sale?
