Thread: WANTED :Isis Wings Choreography Ideas!!!!

hello bhuzzers :)
im back again to bother you with my isis wings
ive got yet another fundraising performance in my school and i decided to do an isis wings choreo, since im gonna have a big stage.

so does anybody have any awesome choreography ideas?...i dont want to be the "girl who only does spins". i need ideas for the middle section, ive already got the beggining and ending, thanks :).

Hey Athena, I'm working on isis wings right now too. I got some great ideas by watching YouTube, there were a whole bunch of videos posted from that bellydance competition show on LBC and it seemed like for one show all the girls were given a a song and wings and had to come up with choreography, and what was great about it was that it was traditional music which I haven't seen paired with wings too often. I liked one girl in particular but I don't know her name, she had metallic pink wings and dark hair, and at the beginning she talked about how she wished she could have used less-traditional music, but I think it turned out amazing. I can post the clip later, YouTube is blocked at work.

She was great! I love how she put the wings around her arms and danced on. Looked like a mix between a veil and loose armthings for the costume. Nice!
I also really like the subtle wing move at 1.25 with the wings down by her skirt.
(I'm not a wing expert by any means so alot of moves are new to me.)

Little floorwork perhaps ?

Just PLEASE don't use the BDSS music with wings! There ARE OTHER SONGS! Beautiful music, use it!!!!
Sorry, just can't stand one more wings piece to the same music!! Hangs head in shame for venting!
Level changes are great! Letting the wings drop behind you and dancing is always very nice, or getting rid of them altogether, to much of a good thing isn't good (depending on the length of the number)

Don't forget to DANCE. As said before, you can let the wings hang behind you or hold them up or out to use as a backdrop for your movements.

Athena, the song is a good choice different. Survivors tale would be a fine choice it isn't ICE Queen(ditto on played out)from BDSS.
Remember when on stage "use the stage" start center, then move to right. back center then left. Don't be just in the center or near back of stage. Also make sure you don't get chicken arms. Beautiful arms does makes the difference of a good wings performance.Always save a few barrel turns and spins for the end. You can flutter your wings or cross them in front of you then open them up. The possibilities are endless of creativity. I hope these ideas will help.
