Need a kick a** song for competitions..

I just haven't found one yet that makes me all "I HAVE ti dance to this!" Any suggestions for me? I am doing Wiggles and there is also a competition this year at Detroit Raqs so I want to use that one as a test run.
    I need help:)

What strengths as a dancer are you looking to showcase? (shimmies? Spins? Veilwork? Folkloric style knowledge?)

What judging criteria might affect your choice of music?

Are you competing in a particular category (Egyptian Style, fusion, etc).

Do you get extra points for props?

I've only done one competition, but I found it necessary to edit togehter several pieces of music in order to accomplish what I wanted.

It can't be any longer than 5 minutes and the only prop I could use is a veil (my zil skills are non existent). I am looking for a more egyptian cab song or egyptian tribal fusion piece, I do well in both those styles... I am not particularly folkloric. You don't get extra points for props. I like a variety in my songs so a little slow, little shimmy fun, lots of energy and changes in dynamics throughout...
grief...I think I am picky...how can all that be in one song...no wonder I am having such issues finding a song lol

    speaking of this...

I have my song where I need to trim off 15 seconds. when I use my Mac to do it, there's a hiccup in the song, no matter where I cut it. I don't want to threadjack, but how on earth do you make it sound like there isn't an obvious break in the song?

I like Natasha Atlas, too. Don't know the song Anala's talking about, though.

I use Nero Burn Pro so I can see the wave file on my screen (think EEG) and you must choose your splice point with extreme care. Dont try to do it in a vocal section at all..and you must maintain the proper beat at the meld.

I haven't found the song in MP3 format yet. Amazon has it but it isn't a very long clip and I can't tell what it sounds like really. I would love to hear it in its entirety before buying it. Anala would you be willing to email it to me? (mesmerizebellydance@yahoo.com) I have audacity to shorten it, looks like I would have to take almost a minute and a half out though...that can get tricky when there are lyrics.

Beautiful, challenging song. I have no idea if it is overdone in some places. It isn't, here.
