Thread: New chance for bellydance instructors

hi everybody!
I'm a sale executive of Sai Gon bellydance club(located in Ho Chi Minh city,Viet Nam).I'm in charge of inviting bellydance instructors to our club.
We are finding Bellydance instructor at intermediate and advance level:

- Instruct at least 40 sessions per month

- Do choreography for solo dancing or group.

- More than 6 month contract

- Do not work for any sides besides SGBD

We will:

- Sponsor for your visa and air ticket

- Find and rent a small apartment/room

- Pay the monthly salary(the salary will be . Extra sessions will be paid.

- Pay for Performance.

According to a quick web search, this place is legit.

Well belly dance is big in many Asian countries such as Korea, Japan, and even China have all made grand appearances at the festivals in Egypt, it doesn't surprise me that many women in Viet nam would be interested in it too, and that they need good teachers there. I actually met a woman this past summer in Cairo that was moving to Viet nam to teach at a British school there. And know girls who lived there and took English classes there before coming to the States. These aren't all rice field farmers you know, this is a culture that values education, so not sure why this post is even being questioned. Some things are legit and others are not, you will only know if you respond to them. I just don't see why it wouldn't be. (Maybe having been married to a Vietnamese man for many years I have a different insight into their culture)

This one sounds legit to me. Artemisia (bhuz's own) and Sabah from the BDSS have both done this under contract in Iceland through ads like this one on Bhuz and they both had great experiences.

I'd apply in a minute, but if I got the job and dragged my son there he'd kill me.

@bellydancewear:thank 4 ur comment very much..^^..it seems that u know many things about Viet Nam..of course,there aren't all rice field n farmers although we r a developping country(if u have a chance,let's visit our country..^^...no war,no crazy terrorists,friendly people n beautiful landscapes-just a moment to introduce our beautiful country..hehe)
In fact,Bellydance just appeared in VN for 3-4 recent years,especially in our capital-Ha Noi(at the North of VN).Ho Chi Minh city is the biggest city in VN(at the South of VN)where bellydance just appeared in 2 recent years n of course we had some problems in being the first starters here but now everything works pretty well..^^..we r finding some experience bellydance instructors to help us make our dream come true-belly dance will have a firm stand in VN..^^

I loved Ho CHi Mihn city when I went there, but my contract in Japan wouldn't allow for me to take 6 months off from my current job.

This looks like a really interesting opportunity. I wish I were able to go.

I would love to go too but don't think my husband would like it very much.

My son just started studying Chinese language, is it very different from Vietnamese? Or a little similar?

If you hire someone again in a year or two, I'll be first in line! The timing is bad for me now.

From my personal experience Ms. Ngan is a very nice lady with interest of improving the dance quality and bringing experienced and talented dancers to Vietnam. I had conversation with her and she was very interested in bringing me however I have a professional engineering job and many other commitments and dance workshops coming up in the US and other countries that I cannot leave for 6 months, however I told her I love to come when I am in Asia to teach workshops. I know she is very interested in someone bring education and cultural experiences as well not just belly dance which is the most important part of the Middle Eastern Dance.

That would be fantastic, and I'd jump on it as well, if I didn't have to finish school! Timing is off for me too, sadly. Will you be hiring next year at all?

I'd do it, but I just signed a year lease two weeks ago to open my own studio. I love traveling. It sounds fantastic!! What a great opportunity to anyone who is able to go!

@Lauren:haha..u r the first person said that my english was wonderful..^^..thank u very much..^^..hehehe...Vietnamese is totally different from Chinese...Vnese has many punctuations which make Vnese become the most hardest language to study..hahaha...Chinese is a little similar to Japanese..^^(i'm studying Japanese also..^^..hope ur son will pass the first time of studying Chinese which is the most difficult time also..='=)

Hafla is the Arabic word for party, she means that maybe she can come by for a party to meet you and have some fun and dance with people in your club for fun. She will be there in November. You can click on her user name and send her a personal message if you want to invite her to your club.

Is there any particular style of belly dance you are looking for in your instructors? Such as Turkish, Egyptian, American Caberet, Tribal, or anything else?
Are you advertising in the major magazines or other online belly dance resources? If you need any assistance as to all the various belly dance resources let us know, we will be happy to help you with this so you can have as many dancers as possible know about this opportunity so you can choose the right person.

Only just remembered this thread! Really sorry for confusing you, its so easy to forget how some phrases native english speakers use are so confusing to non native speakers, sorry!

What I meant was if you have any event (performance or party) when I am in Ho Chi Minh City, maybe I could come and meet you/join in. It would be nice to meet bellydancers on the other side of the world!

hehe, if i wasnt stuck in my academic job for another year or so, i might even consider this. my boyfriend has a good friend in vietnam, who is teaching english there currently and he would probably be able to come along and work there too!

I personally would probably prefer a 3-4 month contract, not to leave my own school behind longer than a full term. maybe in a few years tim! i'm saving the link!

A shorter contract would attract more applicants. Especially if the contract was over the Summer period or over the Christmas period.

Also, to "pop" somewhere means to "go" somewhere, with the subtext of it being casual, so that the host and the visitor both do not feel obligated.

I wish I had the experience to go do something like this, hopefully opportunities will be available by the time I do.

But it was really neat to see something that is helping to further good dance education, and wasn't spam.

I think i'm going to apply. This is probably the only time in my life that I could consider doing this.

today i received a call from Ms Ngan(my boss),she said that she had received someone's application by email but unfortunately,she hasn't read it yet,her computer went mad!it suddenly shutted down n when she turned it on,no new email!-->this means that new application was disappeared!!..T__T


I have given u 2 email addresses above right?But it seems that that person just sent email to Ms Ngan's email address so i didn't receive any application from that one!so i can't send to Ms Ngan the same email.
