I am living and studying in Vietnam. Belly dance has developed for 3years in my country.

Ms Ara Hwang was the first person who brought this art to Vietnam. She trained group of 10 girls and they taught belly dance first in Hanoi (Northern)

Then more and more Vietnamese women want to learn this dance. More and more classes are opening. To teach belly dance, somebody learned from that group, others learned from DVDs.

The price for belly dance class is from 50-95,000VND per student per hour. Class of each level lengthens from 8-12 days. Those money is salary for belly dance instructor. Sometimes, it includes sharing with studio owner (the rate of sharing depends on how famous the studio is). Sometimes, it does not (if you are foreign instructor, those amount is for you)

I do not call me belly dance instructor. I am still student of this art. I take belly dance guidance as part time job. I only take 20-30,000VND per student per hour. It is for place renting. I sometimes free them because I only want more Vietnamese women learn and practice this wonderful dance.

Hope those tips are useful for you. My desire is more belly dance instructors teach in Vietnam, especially in Hochiminh city.
