    Sacramento Teacher Recommendations?

Hello. I just recently moved to California and live between Sacramento and San Francisco, but I am just a little closer to Sacramento. I've found a lot of recommendations for great teachers in San Francisco on Bhuz threads and a lot of links on the SFBA MECDA website, but not as many recs for the Sacramento area. I'm looking for Orientale or Egyptian style teachers, not looking for Tribal. Any recommendations?

    Re: Sacramento Teacher Recommendations?

There are definitely not as many options in Sacramento as there are in San Francisco, but I think the non-Jodette part of Sacramento has a lot to offer.

-our amazing Mychelle has moved up to Chico, but she will still teach monthly or bi-monthly workshops in Sacramento. Mychelle :: Belly Dance Performance and Classes in Sacramento, CA

-Daleela teaches lovely old Egyptian style in Sacramento. Her website is Belly Dance with Daleela and she has a student troupe.

-Adriane teaches cabaret in Sacramento and her website is Adriane Belly Dance Sacramento

-I also teach cabaret/Oriental/Egyptian, but in Davis. There is a technique class on Mondays from 7:30-8:30pm and a choreography class (troupe) on Tuesdays from 9-9:50pm. I won't go on about myself here, but you can see my website at Nyla Crystal . You can also PM me or email me at Crystaldancer@gmail.com if you have questions about any of the above teachers.

Oh and there is also Fatima Fatima's Belly Dance Studio and Instruction
and Gina Gina's Belly Dance Center

I'd try everyone that works in your driving range and find the right teacher that fits your learning style.

Taj: I've come across that name several times after I searched the forum for "sacramento". Interesting reading... don't want to involve myself with any of that kind of drama.

Crystalllized: Thank you for all of the information and the welcome to CA! I am sending you an e-mail.
