well, i survived teaching my huge groupe. survived, actually, it was exhilerating, it gave me a high! it was great!!!

in iceland i taught some beginner workshops to this size (or even bigger) and that had been the same. it's like i push my own "on" button, and there we go... i had much more energy and was thinking quicker than with some of my regular size groups.

what we did: the entire warm up we split into two groups, Kim had half, and i had half, and we just both went through some regular warm up exercises with our group to some back ground music, i'd given her the signal that if my group started "jumping and shaking" (something i do at the end of warm up) she needed to end hers too.
we then stayed in the two groups for a "folowing the bouncing but" song.

we then did technique (traveling sideways hipdrops) with me explaining to the whole group, and kim correcting. then drilled some in the two groups.

and i ended with some traveling in the diagonal, with a few combinations i'd thrown together, and we worked on that 'workshop' style. with two teachers going around with corrections.

and ended with another "bouncing butt folowing song" in two groups.

well, so far, no commplaints from the students, so i think this might work
