so proud of my students!
Whoo hooo!
I am so proud of my students! They want to learn the whole 10 minutes of Alf Leyla Wa Leyla! So far we are 5 minutes in. I am giving them 30 seconds more or so every week and then drilling on what we've learned. We are using the Journey of the Gypsy Dancer version. Just had to share!

Update! My students are 6 1/2 minutes in. It's not as hard as I thought it would be.

Re: so proud of my students!
Maybe my secret is that I am not an easy teacher. My classes are hard and I expect a lot. I give homework and set goals. My style is not for everyone. Some girls come to my class expecting to just shake their butts and feel sexy or something. They are seriously disappointed. I really can't teach beginning classes anymore and since mine is a drop in for all levels we just push forward like there's no tomorrow.
No wimping out and no whining.
Geez I sound horrible! ..g.:
But it's true!
