Thread: BD in South East North Carolina??

I just moved to Lumberton, in Southeastern North Carolina from Knoxville - where there's an active belly dance community. Are there any instructors and/or troupes in my new area? I'm about an hour from Myrtle Beach and about an hour from Fayetteville NC. I know there's a huge community in Asheville, but that's just too far away, and I might go a little nutty if I have to give up bellydancing classes.... .w.: Please help!

There are active dancers within a couple of hours of Lumberton, as I recall. Up-to-date listings of dancers and classes, all throughout NC, can be found at the NC Bellydance website.

I would esp. recommend Sharifa Asmar in Rockingham as an awesome instructor and person!

You should come to the Fayetteville International Dance and music festival on June 26. There will be a ton of people who you can meet! I'm not going, but I know a bunch of ladies who are. Welcome to NC!
