Does anyone use Amazon and Itunes Affiliate programs?

I am considering using the Amazon and Itunes affiliate programs to direct my students to the music we use in class but I wanted to check first to see if anyone else has used them and could give a review. Currently I give my students the song name, artist, and album and tell them where to buy the cd or download the song but they don't seem to actually go out and do it. So this term I wanted to try putting links to all the songs used in class on a 'classroom materials' page on my website in hopes that when they go to download a pdf of the notes they will also click to buy the songs. Does anyone use these programs? How have they worked for you? Do you have download links on your webpage and if so would you mind showing me what they look like?
    Thanks!

I get about 4˘ every time someone downloads a song, so I don't do it for the money!! ..l;, i think, on average, I earn about 8˘ a month through these links.

It does allow me to track a little bit though. If I have a dozen students who are supposedly rehearsing a new choreo at home for an upcoming show, but I can see that only one person has downloaded through the link, I can confront them in class. Are you all practicing? Do you all have the music? Really, where'd you get it?

Come on, people, it's 99˘. Please support the artists!

Yes, yes, yes! I just ended a session last week that was choreo based and at the end of class my students told me that they didn't feel they had really learned it. I asked them how often they practiced outside of class and they ALL said they hadn't practiced even once! I asked them how many bought the music to the choreo and only 1 or 2 said they did! GAH!!! So being able to track if they actually get the songs would be a big help. And, yes, 99 cents is really no big deal. There is no excuse for not getting the music and supporting the artists. This upcoming session I am teaching them to differentiate between different styles of music. There won't be any choreo but if they aren't listening to the music at home and really listening for the differences they aren't going to learn anything!
Hopefully adding the download buttons will help!

I have an Amazon store on my site:

    Zorba's Store

I've had it about 4 years, and have made about $11 on it all that time. I really need to put more into it though, I might be able to double that...

Wow Lauren, you are providing an appealing all-in one page with song downloads and choreography notes. It's a crying shame if your students aren't making use of it. Give them a smack from me!
