Ipod speaker recommendations
Help me bhuzzers! I teach in a gym, and have subbed in other's studios, and my portable Ipod speakers just can't fill up the space and be louder than my students zillling.
Hoping to get some awesome recommendations for you ladies. Price range $100-$130.
Thanks!

I have the Skull Pipe and it is incredibly loud for it's compact size.

Search for previous threads, as this topic has been discussed quite a few times before, and there's been lots of recommendations.
Personally, I've come to the conclusion that you simply can't get a hall-filling sound from an iPod portable speaker, esp. a cheaper one. I think iTunes compresses the music files, so you get less sound than off a CD. I now use a PA system. At long last, it's now possible to get ones with an iPod dock. Consider getting something like this: IPA03 iPod PA System – you know you wanna shout…*-*The Red Ferret Journal

Wow, the iPod PAs are intriguing--I'd be very interested to hear first hand reviews of any of them...

I get hall-filling sound from the Bose sounddock. I even used it at a mall recently and it filled the 2-story center court with sound!
They're expensive, but maybe you could pick up a used one in your price range? Advertising on Craigslist that you're willing to pay $100-$130 might get you one...

I really like the one I have. It is the Klipsch, and a little cheaper than the Bose. I like the sound quality, it has a great midrange.
