Ok so Ive been thinkin......there are SOOOO many unqualified and barely ualified instructors out there, Infact I was a unqualified instructor for a while, and now think I am barely qualified, Im in a rural area of japan and Im it, most of you know that, In DC or cali i would be considerd prob an advanced student etc....well here is what im thinkng, are the non bhuzers the teachers that do not have an internet adicition, causing the unqualified teachers to teach? Here is what im trying to say

You get suzie who starts dancing, then moves to another area looks for good teachers and cant find them, finds a OK teacher takes the class and relises HEY im way better than the teacher, i will go teach so she thinks that becuse she is better than the local or just as good than she is qualified to teach, and whos fault is this, many people do not get on the internet like we do to educate themselves, then some one else who did the same thing took her class and has even littler training but thinks hey i dance just as good ill go teach....the next thing you know you have a teacher who took 6 weeks of classes and is no teaching, Is this our fault? meaning is this the bellydance communitys fault, and what about the ones who do this but dont have a community? Toughts?????

YES! I think you're exactly right.

I'm sure there are other situations as well -- purely delusional folks, the emotionally immature, etc -- but the downward spiral you're describing surely exists.

There is a new Belly dance class opening up soon at a local gym, I have never heard of this girl and I have LOOKED all over this Island for dancers, I am so thinking that this is just a i took a few classes teacher, I am going to sign up for it and see but im worried, expecially since IM the name in the community, and Im worried that if people take her class they will think that bellydance is something it isnt, and therefor we loose potential dancers in the community, and they say oh i took a class so i know what BD is when in reality it isnt what they think etc.....I hope I am soooo wrong
