Let me know how much it is going to cost me for at least the first two sessions,then If am down with it I will extend the sessions,though,I really want to learn Belly Dancing.Do not worry about the appointment time or hour when I arrive that can be sorted out by both of us.

You can send me your Full names, mailing address and telephone number ,so that I can make arrangement for a check to be sent to you by my associates.

So,that before I arrive that will be a pre-commitment from my side to show my undying interest for the Belly Dancing

I have gotten some strange letters though.

same about context.

tho it sounds a lot like those check scams that they do on craiglist

thanks. i have read on bhuz letters i had also recieved...someone bringing a group, wants lodging and so many hours.....etc.
this just sounded a bit like that...and not personal, generic.

Oh yes, this person wants to send you a check! A counterfeit check. And as a very special favor will ask you to deposit the big fat check and then wire part of the money to somebody else in the US that she (he?) needs to make a payment to . . . A mysterious untraceable somebody.

Yeah. I probably get a letter similar to this every couple of months, or so. The first few times I wasn't sure if it was a scam, or if I was throwing away a potential student. I didn't respond because they always ask for so much information, and offer so little!

Ahhh, so Belinda is your new friend too, Cory? I also got a letter asking if I would teach her Belly Dance, which she is sooooo longing to learn.

It's true that Cory and I are in the same state, and only about 200-300 miles apart. I'm most certain that any tourist coming from England to the USofA would find the sights and sounds of Bakersfield a real draw . . .

Sorry, Bakersfield-ites, but Disneyland is a bigger draw.

I've had some crackers from all over the world(allegedly) but usually originating in Nigeria or India. They're hilarious and worth getting for the laugh....

well, i HATE theme parks .especially jizzzzzny..but had no idea any bhuzzer was close besides devora..wow ! usually an e mail asking to study with me, uses my name and lists things they have seen me do , that they want taught....thanks !..yes, generic!

I've gotten a couple or three of these. One of them was yakking on about my being a "woman of power" or somesuch...

YES!!! I get this letters all the time ---so annoying!!! SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!

Yes i got 3 similar letters, and it happened just the way Rosette (above) described.
In my case I placed and ad in a website targeting University students, i needed to get a roommate. The first 2 emails seemed very genuine so i believed them, then by the 3rd i knew it was a scam. The bad English. They sent me a bunch of cheques for thousands of $$ more than it was supposed to be and asked desperately to cash them, keep the amount agreed upon and sent back the rest. The "accountant" made a mistake and that's why i got all that money. They made "another" mistake though, they signed the cheques on the wrong line where i was supposed to sign them so the bank would not take them anyways.
This happened again and the cheques looked so real i took them to the Royal Bank where supposedely they came from and they confiscated them.
