The only thing I disagree is with the idea that this should be required reading for all new belly dance teachers. Why only new? I think this should be required reading for ALL belly dance teachers, period!

This is an amazing post! I wish that all instructors would follow this mentality. Too many people become instructors too soon and then quit learning and growing, forgetting that they have a duty to their students to continue doing so.

Even though I’m not a dance instructor, I’m glad I read this article! I’m an art teacher, and I chose that profession because I love art and I like sharing my knowledge with others. I always tell my students that I am there to make them smarter. This article would be good for many types of teachers to read – the information is universal. Teachers have a responsibility to give their students the knowledge they need. Regardless of the subject area, educators truly are responsible for fostering a legacy!
