Australian bellydancers, I need your help!
Greetings,
I'm thinking about rebuilding the list of bellydance classes in Australia ( http://www.bellydanceclasses.net/australia/ ) because it's way too long. Am i right that the best way is to split it in subcategories:
- Western Australia
- Northern Territory
- South Australia
- Queensland
- New South Wales
- Victoria
or there is a more user friendly way to list classes?
Thanks in advance
Anatoliy

Hi, nice to see you here. A bit off topic: I've been trying to renew my teacher listing on your site but have had no reply. Is there a new contact email? Thanks.

I totally agree with Mosaika however don't forget Tassie in your list. I also have to query why we need to pay in US dollars to upgrade our details.

Thanks, it's nice to see you too
Please use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of pages. Is there a new contact email?
Cool!
Oops. I didn't know that Tasmania is a part of Australia.
Thanks! I need to come there one day to learn a little bit about your part of the world. I heard a lot of good words about it.
Well, my business is registered in the US, my bank account is in a US bank, thus all my "prices" are in USD. Why are you asking? Are there some difficulties to pay in USD from Australia or something? Please let me know. I'd like a payment for a listing would be as easy as a click of a button.I also have to query why we need to pay in US dollars to upgrade our details.

Yes don't forget Tasmania and also Canberra (it is the ACT. Australian Capital Territory) you could include it with NSW but NSW would be large enough alone.

Thank you! I have another Q.
In the List of towns in Western Australia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia some towns are marked as "abandoned". Does it mean people don't live there?

Re: Australian bellydancers, I need your help!
I think that may be the case. I had a quick look at one 'abandoned' town and it was a town built around a mine that closed down. You really shouldn't need to go into that level of detail. Just use the states and territories as categories and allow people to write their own location. They'll naturally name the capital city or nearest regional centre. Keep in mind the majority of our population live in capital cities and large regional towns.
If you do want to be more specific, I'd suggest using the capital city for each state and then add 'regional' as a second category for each state (and Northern Territory but not ACT). But even then, you need to allow people to write their own location, because 'regional' could cover thousands of kms.

Thank you! I thought to make city listings, but it's probably too early, so I abandoned the idea. I just split it by a state . Here is the result Belly dance classes in Australia

Thanks for asking. It would be great if you could separate the ACT - Australian Capital Territory out as well. It is the equivalent of a state. (Canberra/the ACT is the capital of Australia.) That would make it much easier for your users to find the information that they are looking for!
