A friend of mine is looking to take beginner classes...g.: She needs a fab teacher who's located near Tempe Az and Chandler. Could you all refer her to someone? She is interested in any style as of now.

Have your friend look on the Arizona belly dancers tribe. She'll find lots of information on there.

Tempe is right next to Phoenix, which is home to two legends:

Actually Dahlena is down here in Yuma. Try checking out Yasmina's site. She has a faboo list of instructors Belly Dance Teacher's Directory

Yasmina is there, and so is Ava flamming, I believe she teaches out of ASU, My first teacher and best friend also lives there and is such a beautiful patient teacher, perfect for the begginer that may have a sensitive nature....

doh! *smacks head* her site was down and i know Neena Nour is her regular student, and Neena's in Phoenix, so i got confused. of course, considering Neena has been known to drive to LA for weekly classes with Jillina...

There's Mystic Jewell Studio in Tempe - it used to be the Domba! studio - I taught there while on tour, and it's a beautiful place with a great vibe, and the owner is a wonderful gal. The Mystic Jewell - World Dance Studio

What about Northwest Valley part of Phoenix? I am moving to El Mirage, AZ.

There were no teachers in Carlsbad, NM. Thankfully, I was able to obtain a nursing job in Sun City, so I am getting out of here, and moving Sunday night.

Can't wait to take classes again. It has been three months since I have been.
