I would love to receive your recommendations!
I am starting to create a Virtual Learning Environment for my students. The Adult Learning department I work for has created a Moodle VLE, and I volunteered to run a test course. I am hoping that this will be a useful and stimulating new way of enthusing my students, by providing them with more information and inspiration.
Anyway... What I would love to hear about is your recommendation for good bellydance teaching channels on YouTube. I am already subscribed to Mahin's excellent DBQ channel and I will be providing links to various of her video clips, because she has a different take on teaching and technique from mine, but she's is careful to teach safely, and she is aware that those watching her lcips may not have learned the exact same way that she is teaching, so she doesn't worry unduly about terminology and so on, and her technique is generally fairly "style-neutral".
ETA - I've also found Samanthabordelon, who does excellent technique tutorials & drills.
So I would love to know about other teachers who have teaching clips on YT, that I can link to and recommend onwards to my own students.Last edited by beafarhana; 02-06-2012 at 06:47 AM.

Re: I would love to receive your recommendations!
hi, I found Coco's short clips on youtube to be fun and helpful. I'm not sure if it's appropriate for you or too similar to the others. I think it's under coco berlin bellydance class, something like that. it's a great idea as many people tell me they are learning from the internet and from what i've seen not all of it is good. so guidance from someone experienced is good.

Of course! Thank you for the reminder.
At the moment my moodle is for improver/intermediate students, so Coco's clips are perhaps covering material that is rather basic for them, but soon I will be extending it to my Beginner class, and it will be really good for those students.
