Thread: name search

I just played sleuth and searched for all members with "rita" in their name. There are a bunch of ritas and although I didn't check the profiles of every single one of them, none has a picture posted. I did look at about half dozen Rita profiles. Here is where it gets interesting.

Rita38, who posted today, has not been online during the past week. However "Rita," "Ritadances," "Margarita," and "Rita75" have all been online today, all signing in at the same time. And the interesting thing is that these ritas have been members since 2001!

So Rita has been "belling dancing" for at least 7 years now.

BTW, "Rita" and "Rita38" both live in Wyoming. The other Ritas are homeless!

i don't know who rita is, but my vote is that we all ignore her posts and questions....and maybe she'll go away =)

Sousan, I don't follow you. If rita38 posted today, then she's been online today. What is your basis for saying she hasn't been online in the past week? Even if she has more than one bhuz ID, she can't post as rita38 without logging in as rita38.

Those "last login" time stamps in people's profiles only show the last time someone logged in. Right? If someone stays logged in and doesn't delete cookies or restart their browser, they may go a long time between logins. Right? Mine usually look accurate only because my f#$%ing firefox crashes ten times per day and so I am constantly logging in.

Do those other ritas post, or just lurk?

This is only interesting if rita38 has some other active bhuz persona that we all know. Like if she's really, say, Lauren. Or Zumarrad. Or Kimahri. or...wait!!

3+8=11. The 11th letter in the alphabet is "k" If you take "k" and "rita" and rearrange the letters, you have "tarik". Rita38 is really Tarik!

Huh? I just looked at these profiles, and rita38, rita75 and ritadances joined bhuz in 2007, not 2001. I didn't see a state for "Rita". Rita75 is from Eger, Hungary, and Ritadances is from Chicago.

Did you misread or is the profle information...changing? (cue twilight zone music)

Who actually cares? She's not doing anything apart from asking dumb questions and making dumb remarks. Is she plagiarising? No. Is she passing herself off as someone else? No. Is she faking her own death in order to get CDs and lipgloss? Not yet. I honestly don't understand why people are paying Rita such a lot of attention. She is either a person with limited written language and communication skills or a troll. She's not hurting anyone.

(She's not me. I couldn't control my natural impulses towards snark and obvious recognisable parody to be Rita.)

She got banned from orientaldancer.net for making obnoxious and racist posts.

At least here she seems to be limiting herself to posting dumb questions and remarks for now.
