I have raised mine every year over the past 3 years. But I think I am at a good price level right now. I don't think I will be raising it this year.

    hi nilaja
do you have a private studio or rent space? just trying to figure out if rent might be a reason i've seen rates go up.

That could well depend on where you teach. If you teach out of your home or in a studio that you either own or rent and is only used for your classes, then yes, it makes sense to me that your rates might change at least every other year or so.

However, if, like so many of us, you teach for a community center or are only one of many instructors in a dance studio, then your rates probably need to stay somewhat in line with what everyone else is charging for like classes ("like" meaning in length of class, how many times it meets per session, in a same or similar regimine, etc.). For instance, I pour over the "dance," "martial arts" and exercise classes advertised in the brochure published 3 times a year by the community center where I teach and I also keep an eye on rates charged in other local centers and studios. If I see a trend for rates going up, the next session, my rates will probably go up a bit too.
