Thread: Looking for a teacher in Glendale/Montrose area

Hello All!

I am an intermediate cabaret dancer that just moved to California and am looking for some local classes in the Glendale/Pasadena/Montrose/La Canada-Flintridge/La Crescenta area. I'm still learning the freeway system here.w.: so if the classes are too far from these areas I might not make it there!

In addition to the incomparable Zahra Zuhair, and Jenna, DanceGardenLA has Roxxanne, another wonderful dancer and teacher. Roxxanne is half Lebanese and literally grew up in middle eastern night clubs - her father owned some of the best in LA -so her style is very natural, very relaxed and ooey-gooey. strong on Reda styling, and very lovely.

the amazing Tamra-henna teaches at Glendale Community College. it's a "beginner" class, but last semester several intermediate and/or advanced people took it and we all agreed we got a lot out of it. i think of it as foundational, rather than "beginner" b/c no one is ever "above" foundational work. you have to enroll in GCC to take the class, but that's a simple process, and it's about the best bellydance deal in town. even with student fees and parking, it works out to less than $4 a class- for a 1-1/2 class.
