Re: mirror mirror on the wall
Mirror tape on the back, plus metal clips like Nos. 277 and 288 here:
Mirror Clips, Glass Clips & Fittings
Depending on the size of the mirror, you may be able to skip the adhesive if you use several clips on the top and bottom edges, but I would not feel safe using only adhesive.
Congratulations on the new space!

Re: mirror mirror on the wall
I installed two 4' x 6' mirrors side by side, because I didn't want the hassle of transporting and installing anything larger than those dimensions. I used the clips that Zana posted above and no adhesive, but I did 3 clips on the top and bottom of each mirror. The most important thing is to make sure the clips get screwed directly into the wall studs to secure them properly.

Re: mirror mirror on the wall
I have unmounted plexiglass mirrors, and used mirror clips. Problem: One is installed over an outlet, and the unmounted, unglued plexiglass bends a bit, which does not make for a flattering image, instant 20 pound weight gain ;-)

Re: mirror mirror on the wall
I bought my large mirrors from a local glass company. They are the same size as what would be in a real dance or aerobics studio. The glass company installed them for me, and put the edging trim around them.

Re: mirror mirror on the wall
the ones I have are more like #318. they have a slot that slides on the screw to secure the top of the mirror - put the mirror in place and then pop the clip down.
be sure to not get bevelled edge mirrors. very annoying if you have to stand where you're looking at yourself on a 'seam'.
