Re: BDSS dvds
i have all of the new Jillina DVDs and I love them!!!! they are very well laid out, fully chaptered, great combos, she does technique drilling, warm up and cool down. shape up and hip out ( the work out one) is great its broken up into 3 different segments, each getting faster and a bit more challenging I use it alot. they also have some great preformances on them as well. 2 thumbs up from me.
as for the shimmies by Bozenka, I am curious about that one to, i am looking for a shimmy DVD so I am also curious to hear any reviews on it.

Re: BDSS NEW dvds
hey littawyn :)
thanks so much for the fast reply!!
hope someone can tell more about bozenka s dvd - no youtube trailer, nothing on the website, no amazon availability :( not exactlly super marketed?!
can i ask you something else - the workout dvd. i m especially intrigued by that - i m not soo much of a choreography person , and have not used the vol 1 and 2 of the old set of jillina's so far coz i somehow am not in the mood to learn a choreo, at least now. i m quite of a beginner technique wise, even though i ve "culturally" learned the moves a bit, as i like to put it (family gatherings and festivities, arab restaurants...).
sooo - what do you think is the workout dangerous for non-trained dancers? i have a bit of knee problems due to a sports injury from years ago. so i m super cautious with fitness routines, especially fast track dancin of any kind.
is it doable, or stillrather intermediate level?
and the 3 choreos - i ve read on a thread here the drum solo one is super difficult.. and the lebanese pop choreo?
thanks for sharin ,r:;
bye bye nice evenin!

Re: BDSS dvds
I have the double veil with Petit Jamila. Shrug. It's OK, she does some fun stuff, but there was nothing there I hadn't already figured out.
But, I'm a very experinced dancer and have been using veils and spinning for years.
One thing I did like, she uses rectangles rather than circular. Since I already had a bunch of them it made things more useful.

Re: BDSS dvds
I took Bozenka's "Every shimmy in the book" workshop recently... (she said the same material as for the dvd.) It was fun! the drills were good, and she was so excellent at explaining things! how each kind of shimmy works and differs form another. I enjoyed it:) and oh my god - this woman shimmy so great you can't take your eyes from her...
