Thread: Difference between 2 BDSS DVD's????

Hey All,

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference to the 2 BDSS performance DVDs-
BDSS LIVE IN PARIS AT FOLIES BERGERE
BDSS (self titled)

I have the Paris one but just wondering if the plain titled BDSS has a different performance on it before I try and buy a copy.

Yes, they are different. The BDSS is in a studio setting and has different dances.

A few performances actually are similar - Amar's performance with the wings is on both.
But you ll have dancers not on the show dvd like Tamalyn Dallal, whose performances alone are worth buying it!
There is also another Amar performance and 2 by Sonya which I really like. I d say it is worth buying, these 2 dvds are the ones I enjoyed watching (the show dvd is better and longer though).

The Monte Carlo dvd I cannot full-heartedly recommend - new dancers or premiere solos by some dancers like Sharon Kihara, Saida, Bozenka - not bad, but I did not enjoy watching this one as much as the two others. Hope this helps! :)
ps the bdss dvd should have an audio cd coming with it if I rmmbr correctly - so quite a good buy.

Thanks Dinavienna- good to know whatIm in for. I do enjoy watching performance DVDs as it gives me inspiration for my own choreographies and stage presence awareness :)

I love Rachel Brice's performances on that first BDSS DVD (the one that's just called BDSS). She's musical and slinky and lovely dancing to a taqsim (Simon Shaheen, I think?) and then does a great playful drum solo.

I have a copy for sale on the swap... :-)
