Thread: Shakra's Industrial Dance Workout?

Has anyone tried this? It has some good reviews on Amazon but I'm kind of hard to please with dance cardio DVDs. Anyone?

Oh I know its not. Still I was curious if any of the fusionistas here had checked it out. Those boots are something else aren't they?

well I tend to trust one reviewer on amazon.com LOTS - mala bhargava (she s got a blog too - malabhargava.com). you can easily find her review among the others on the amazon entry for this dvd, and then view all of her other reviews.

reading a dvd you know reviewed by her might give you an idea on whether she s "In line" with your interests (she s COMPLETELY with mine, I went out and bought many dvds she gave good reviews for :)
she basically says the shakra workout is great fun and very energetic.. well she gives lots of detail there that I cant remember right now.

I know it s a bit too energetic/afro style for my level of skill, I m a bit afraid of injuring myself. If your skill level is pretty intermediate or even advanced, and you enjoy bellydance, afro style energetic dancing, and like a great yoga cooldown, I think the dvd is great.
Plus, I think it s REALLY demanding if I rmmbr those reviews correctly. I know this is not MY opinion on the dvd, but I am repeating what you might know - I just mean to say check out the reviews ranked as most helpful, most of these ppl are bellydancers, check out their other reviews, and see if your taste matches with theirs..
I ve never regretted a dvd purchase by the "reputed" experienced bd reviewers on amazon (mala, seir, farah, lena, irina..)

Mala's on the bellydance video Yahoo groups too. She's great, very honest in her appraisals of videos.

Cool! It's so hard to find non-BD dance classes near where I live. I have to start my dance DVD collection back up again!
