Thread: All Hail Hanan!

I just wanted to praise Hanan's costumes - both the lycra skirt kind and her bedleh costumes. She's got great workmanship that lasts, flattering designs for a variety of shapes and sizes, cool color usage and beautiful beadwork.
To top it off- spending a lot of time at their both at Ahlan Wa Sahlan in Cairo this summer- she's also a sweetie (and so are her husband, her brother and the girls working for them). ..g.:..g.:

I have a fourth dress created by her, too, that I don't yet have pictures of! I just love her designs!

I do! My Hanans are so comfortable and also flattering, I don't feel like wearing any of my other costumes anymore... I think I'm going to sell all the rest of them!

Me too. I just don't have any b/c I don't perform anymore. If I ever start performing again she'll be the designer I wear. I'd start with "Showstopper".

I love them too! Good price, beautiful designs... (tried to post pictures of mine but didn't work). I'm thinking about having a dress custom made from her.

I don't have any photos of any of my Hanans, but I do have a Youtube that shows my purple one in action. It is soooo comfortable to dance in, I'm finding it hard to go back to the other costume makers...

Everyone looks so beautiful!

I was just looking through my costumes over the weekend, trying to figure out what to wear for an upcoming show. and picked up my Hanan, which I haven't worn in a while. I was amazed anew by the sheer amount of gorgeous beadwork it has. Literally the skirt is covered from hip to floor with dense floral bead embroidery (all the way around). It's almost too heavy to wear!

I love Shira's wine and pink dress!

I love the Hannan's because they fit so well. The bra has that stretch bit in the back so you don't have to do as many adjustments. The fabrics are so unique too.

I have a blue Hanan that made me swoon the first time I got it in my hands. Okay - it might not be all that, but it is for me It's my first professional costume. I plan on wearing it to a fundraiser that our class is performing at. I'll get someone to take some pics of me.

Aw, thanks! I have not studied with Aziza but she is one of my all time favorite dancers to watch, and she's a sweetheart. So I take that question as a compliment! The music is "Amani el Omr" from one of Amani's CDs, the name which I can't recall at the moment : )

Shira, you look incredible in those dresses! If you ever want to pass on the top one, will you think of me??
