Thread: Aheb Masr from Yasmina of Cairo/CD review

I finally got Lynette to publish this on Gilded Serpent . . . I think it got buried in her pile of articles, lol.

And before anyone asks . . . as I have already been asked . . . I thought Dahlal would be carrying this but I don't see it on her website. So I have put out an enquiry to Yasmina and Kay Taylor (at faridadance in the UK) . . . hopefully, I'll have more information soon.

I saw this article the other day. I will be buying the cd.

And that is the song that I used for my performance in front of Fifi Abdo in April 2008 (just a few short months ago) ..g.: . . it is a great song to get everyone all revved up.

Where can I get the CD? I've been dying to purchase since I read the review.

it is a great CD I've danced to Agibni Kulak many times and theres three other great songs on there too.its the best Cd Yasmina has produced

I got this CD directly from Yasmina in Cairo last Dec, totally worth it, I wish I bought an extra; I wore thru my copy!

OK, now I think we'll need to have a dance-off on Agibni Kulak . . . . I was holding this review close for awhile because I knew that the minute it went up on gilded serpent and I mentioned this song that everyone would want to dance to it ..cr.:. . . of course that happened at the Fifi show already so I had to bow to the inevitable ..l;,

I think we'll get away with it, the fact we are on two different continents will help.Would love to see your interpretation though. But I know what you mean when i have great music I almost don't want anybody else to find it because I want it to be all mine!!!..g.:

Well, I danced to it in July, so I have a jump on the crowds too ..g.: And I'll be using it at Za-Beth's annual benefit for the Home for Little Wanderers in December. It's just so lush and rich and earthy and and and.... YUMMY!

Wow, I received my CDs all the way from the UK today!! Farida Dance gave me great service. FYI the total for the two CDs plus shipping in US$ was around $46. I was afraid there might be expensive currency conversion fees or international shipping but apparently not.

This is my favourate CD at the moment, and Aladdins Cave (UK) also stock it.

I noticed that Dahlal was selling some import CDs on her website for $21.99 (the Very Cairo ones). . . I should have snagged those when she was offering them for sale, lol!! It is all relative, isn't it???
