I do not own Killer Ziller yet, but Mesmera s and Elsa s..
I have bought Saroyan zils (nefertitis i think) already, but have shied away from sewing the elastic so far :)
apart from that I have a cat - hearing zils on dvd irritates him tremendously. I ve heard there are "mufflers" for the zils? does anybody here have those or knows where to get them?
    that would be greatly appreciated!!

Would you say this video is good for someone who has almost no experience with zils? As in, barely knows how to hold them right?

As far as beginners are concerned, she does explain how to put them on, etc. at the beginning and talks about the sounds you can make by striking them in different ways. You can also watch her hands close-up which is great if you are new at zills.

If not, that's fine, I don't want to pressure you.
Oh! Lauren I am so sorry I missed this for so long of course you can use mine, I don't mind at all, if you still want to. I'll send you a pm too.

I second the baby socks and have also found that the little baby mittens that you buy for newborns so they don't scratch their faces with their nails works awesome too. They are thin cotton and already in a round shape so they fit perfect but you still hear the faintest of clanks since the material is thinner.

I definately think that this is a great dvd, especially for beginners. I think a very common thread between issues that zillers have is that they learned sitting down or standing still or very basically taking steps. How great it would have been to learned to zill while DANCING from the very beginning. As mentioned by Carpediem, Michelle goes through the basics of the zills at the very beginning. Really the only things she doesn't touch on is how to attach the elastic to them-lol-but the rest of Bhuz could help you with that

I am glad my review has been so helpful!

This is the best zills video I have ever seen. I have learned so much in just a short week. Because Michelle drills it over and over again, I have really learned the rhythms and am catching on pretty fast to the combinations too. This is a masterpiece!
