Thread: Anyone Tried 12 Hottest Bellydance Moves

This title strikes me as fluffy, but the workout section at the end interests me. I like bellydance workouts. There is no mention, however, of the length of this section. I don't know much about the dancer either. NEON's dvds are so informative. Other sources, not so much.

I'd be interested in a review too...the preview of it is far too short but it cured me of thinking that the Layla mentioned was Leyla Jouvana...the woman's voice is completely different...I don't know who the Layla on the DVD is....I wish that preview had been longer...

Any got it and fancy telling us whats on it?

I was not fond of her shimmies. The knee action is taught especially by US instructors, I am aware of that, but Layla overdid it. Gave her shimmies a comical appeal to me. I am therefore not sure of her skill, she sure is not a dancer I find appealing dance aesthetic-wise. But the workout could be good, I'd love to know about it, too.

hmm, i wouldn't buy it if i were you...it looks cheaply made and her technique (yes, that shimmy) is not exactly the best.

No, the Layla on the DVD is from Los Angeles, she's one of Zahra's students who ended up teaching "Shakira Style" at Raqia's festival last year. I don't know anything about the quality of the DVD or the workout section.

Oh wait...I have now seen the DVD courtesy of a friend...umm...not that great is my opinion. Her own technique doesn't seem that great, she spends most of the time with her back to you...the performance is awful (misses accents/doesn't fit the music etc), and the "workout" section is very brief, and to top that another low quality filmed HMC release! For God's sake HMC I want high quality clear images, not blurry faces! There was plenty free MB on the DVD for it to have been encoded higher quality.

I looks like her butt isn't tucked for the shimmies so maybe she's having to work harder for it.
