Highly recommend, I'm not here to offer a complete review just an opinion that i finished watching it, thoroughly enjoyable. Had the pleasure of meeting Princess when she was here in Hawaii. (love you!!! xxoo)

This is a great vid. When I had my grand opening, the producer allowed me to show it before it had even debuted in America. So nice. I am a Princess fan now.

I just watched this tonight. Wow. I was mesmerized watching the perfomances at the end.

i also smiled to myself when she mentioned Bhuz a couple times. (Okay i sound like a groupie)

Does anyone have the Ab solutely Fabulous Princess DVD? How is it? I've never worked with her videos and is considering purchasing this one.....

I just watched this and enjoyed it alot! My only complaint is that it seemed the producer or editer or whoever seemed to like to use only 2 songs as background music thru the whole movie. Other than that, I loved it!!! :-) I have not had the honor of meeting the fantabulous Princess herself. I have a couple of here dvd's. I hope to meet her one day and take a workshop with her and maybe have drink with her too. She seems like a cool chick.

I also found it very entertaining & informative. She is very engaging and reminds me of an old friend from Brooklyn! Demonstrations of her abs work is beautiful.
The DVD is very rich in subject matter, shows some of the quirky sides of the Bellydance world in US as well as glimpses of the "traditional", if there is such an animal. A good DVD to show at dance "movie parties".

I enjoyed it, but I wish it would've been more obvious why all these dancers were featured. I wrote a review of it in my blog awhile back. I didn't realize at the time that the featured dancers were people who were part of her life that year, so it initially seemed gratuitous to put in Margaret Cho.

I really loved the parts where Princess Farhana delved into serious topics, like her burlesque side.

It's overall a good DVD.

I just ordered Underbelly... really excited to watch it!

I got it and finally sat down to watch it last night. I really like this video and I also like the part about burlesque. Man, that took guts on Princess' part. She is also so very funny and bluntly honest.

I have to say I disagree with fusing bellydance and burlesque, mostly because bellydancers have fought so hard to keep that stereotype out of what bellydancing really is. But also the art of burlesque is such an interesting art in itself that I hate to see it confused with bellydance, thus taking anything away from burlesque itself as an art.

I thought it was great - was lucky enough to see it in a theater when it premiered in Boston, maybe 2 years ago? It really elevated Princess Farhana to me (i.e. from "oh, some dancer, whose pretty darn good" to "what an interesting and cool-seeming person that I'd love to hang out with!")
