Thread: Aziza's Practice Companion

Just got it, looked it through, and LOVE it. It is just what I have been looking for. This, combined with Michelle's Drills DVD and Sadie's pops & locks DVD are really the only 3 I need right now. I'm so happy!

This is one of my favorite videos of all time.

When people ask me "What training DVDs should I buy?" I tell them to buy this one, and then maybe others. This is THE ONE for me. I love it that much.
I'm sure that there are other DVDs out there that are just as helpful for other people, but this one has been the most helpful to me over the three(??) four(?!?) years since I picked it up.

I found Aziza's infectious personality really came through in the DVD, and it kept me sticking with the drills, even when I found them challenging enough to want to throw in the towel. I found her instruction particularly helpful in getting me past a plateau in doing isolated upper body movements with a shimmy on the bottom.

I also think the drum solo performance at the end is nearly worth the price of the DVD on its own. One of my favorite drum solo performances ever.

Aziza's Practice Companion really has something for virtually every skill level. Even once you have "mastered" everything on the DVD (I still haven't, even after several years!) it still serves as a fantastic workout and helps you maintain both basic and advanced skills. When I started using it I couldn't do quite a bit of it, but it's not hard to follow along at your own pace and omit things if you need to. Also, Laura is right- there is something about Aziza's attitude that makes you want to keep going. She is motivating and encouraging without becoming irritatingly perky.
I would not recommend this as a first choice for baby beginners, but for everyone else I think it's a MUST.

Ohhhh goody Ive just bought myself a copy of this one!
