Sadie's Thrillin Drillin
Sadie has mad skills. Seriously. There are some mind boggling drills in this DVD and I'd highly recommend it if your an intermediate dancer looking for a challenge. Different hip and feet layers, as well as chest and feet layers. It's as advanced as Suhaila layers, with short 3 minute drills in 3 levels. The dvd is packed with content and info and I know I"ll be working with it for several months to come.

I agree! I think it's one of the best belly dance dvd's ever! Sadie is an excellent teacher.

Re: Sadie's Thrillin Drillin
I love it! The only thing that could've been better is if she taught in front of a mirror like she does in the HMC DVD.

Yeah thats the one thing that bothers me too, Athallia. Sometimes she's saying left and I'm going right LOL.

Re: Sadie's Thrillin Drillin
Her new HMC one "Ultimate Bellydance" is much like Thrillin Drillin, according to herself, and I am guessing it will be shot in the way her others for HMC are :)
It was to be released in April, but when I just checked it seems to be delayed to late summer.

Re: Sadie's Thrillin Drillin
Shes got a new one coming out? Where do you find all this stuff out? :P
I was actually using Thrillin' Drillin' and I was a bit arrogant and got bored of watching the technique after 10 mins....so I skipped straight to the frist drill set, and I was in for a shock that I couldn't do the first set of movements properly. Weird thing was though later that night I figured out how to do it in the mirror after just seeing Sadie do it once...must be my visual learner but of me coming out.
It certainly looks like a good DVD though.

Re: Sadie's Thrillin Drillin
hehe that wasn't difficult! I purchased the Complete Bellydance one and it has Ultimate Bellydance, complete with the beautiful cover shot, printed on the inside as a little teaser!
On the content - my primary source is Mala!
Her lovely blog at malabhargava.com has reviews, but also interviews with star dancers. She had Sadie, Michelle Joyce, Neon, Sarah Skinner, Aradia, Autumn Ward and many others.
Sadie told her lots on her upcoming projects. Two with Kaya for IAMED (pop lock and flutters or something similar, and pops locks and shimmies, vol 2; plus a solo dvd for IAMED on belly work; thinking of it, there was a Suzy Evans interview, too, some of the info might come from that interview!).
If you can't open her blog, Internet Explorer is to blame. If you either want to read this blog (which I recommend, it s amazing!), or have similar problems with other sites, I suggest you run Mozilla Firefox as the standard or additional browser. It does not take away speed at all, i ve done it for years. No trouble with some internet sites, no disadvantages (it s freeware). Now I use mac and do the same with Safari and Firefox. Perfect complements rather than alternatives to me.

Re: Sadie's Thrillin Drillin
She is one of my favorite dancers. I've got one of her DVDs and the strength conditioning workout at the beginning is killer. Plus her body is as close to perfect as it gets. A drum solo performance of hers is posted on youtube that I must've watched a hundred times, and I never get tired of it. Her technique and tightness with the music is spot on.

Yes, this dvd was worth the money. I reviewed this on amazon too.

Re: Sadie's Thrillin Drillin
Several of Sadie's drills/instructional sequences are the first belly dance tutorials I purchased. Purchased direct from her site so she'd get the majority of the funds, and cut out middlepersons.
That one drum solo of hers on YouTube is what got me into watching belly dance in the first place. She's fantastic to me.
I'm just a beginner, not even that, really. :P Just a hobbyist. It's great fun and exercise.
