Thread: Zill Speak by Artemis Mourat

I know Artemis had copies for sale this weekend at Beach Blanket Beledi (and will be at Rakkasah East this weekend) - perhaps contact Serpentine directly and ask them about how to order it?

I think that's what I will do, as I can't find any other way to order this...not even on the website. I knew I should have gone ahead and ordered a few days ago when there was a notice on the Amazon page that said "Only Four Left In Stock" ,m:: Serves me right. Thanks Rosehips!

I received my copy directly from Artie. It is fantastic, really helps with all the zill patterns. It will be a great stocking stuffer.

Serpentine, did you remove your nose from the grindstone? Amazon reporting Sagat Speak delivery delayed until new year - I guess Zill Speak will have to go solo as Christmas present--

I love how she covers the rhythms in all the different ways that people learn (counting, dums/teks, phrases (ex: I like your garden) and left/right).

Argh, I still have not gotten around to writing up a proper review (can I blame my crazy cat?), but for the time being - Zill Speak is wonderful, and especially the booklet is a must-have. Complementing the more technical parts on the CD, it has some very personal advice on how to approach zills, which has made a difference in how I look at them.

I am working on it every day, 6 hours a day. But after everyone was so upset with me about the history section I put up, I had to go back and make sure all the references, etc. are included. Some of the pictures that go with it needed a lot of work too. Since I promised no more cards ... the booklet has to be ready before release. And then they keep sending me new styles of sagat from Egypt. I asked them to go to the Coptic Museum and make me replicas of the originals. They have already sent me the pharaonic set. A mamluk set is also coming. I even asked them to make me 4 clappers so I could play with "the hand of Atum.:..g.:

Every time I get a new set I want to rerecord all the stuff I've done ... each set sounds better than the last.

Sorry, I am working, promise. I just want to get it right.

SAGAT SPEAK IS DONE! Thank God.
The booklets have just arrived and the CD went off to the replicator today. I will hopefully have them back by the end of December. I tried to take all of your previous comments into consideration. I thank you for making them. They made it a better product.

I think her comments are very valid and for future products I will try to keep them in mind. It's too late for Sagat Speak, unfortunately. I would only like to say in our defense that the colors look one way on a computer screen and sometimes very different on paper. The font is small because there was so much we wanted to fit in to 36 pages. Please let me know what the rest of you think to help me make upcoming products better.
