Thread: Combin-ography with Bahaia

What ever happened with this DVD? Seems like it's been coming soon for almost a year now.

If I recall, I think there were some editing problems. I'm pretty sure it's still in the works, just delayed.

I just sent the final draft to Bahaia for her approval a few days ago. Assuming she has no edits it will be sent to the printer ASAP.

We reshot the whole thing recently because we had so many ideas after we shot the original that we decided to go in a whole new direction. Then BOTH Bahaia and I got pregnant and felt too sick and unmotivated to work on it. I literally shot it with a bucket sitting next to the camera, then went home and slept for a month!

But now we are super fired up about it and can't wait to release it... most likely within the next 30 days.

I am stoked...just what think I need...right now!!!

I am really looking forward to this, Michelle and Bahaia! It's probably going to be the only dvd purchase I make until the end of the year.

I liked the clips I saw. I hope it's not TOO far off what was promised. I'm really excited to get this one.

Don't worry, it is the originally promised content plus a bunch of new ideas. Nothing was removed.

I only had one conversation with Ahava about maybe doing DVDs one day... nothing concrete is in the works. But she is on Combination Nation #1 if you need an immediate Ahava fix!

I'll be having a baby in December, so I don't think I'll be starting any new projects until Spring 2010 at least. Here is the plan for releases:

Combin-ography - September
By Dancers For Dancers #6 - November
Combination Nation#2 - November
Flawless Floorwork - November

Nanna's DVDs will be released independently by Nanna (instead of on the Cheeky Girls label), and those will be out late Septemberish.

Wow, this is the year for pregnant bellydancers! Congratulations to Bahaia & MJ! Amar Gamal is pregnant too! I saw it in the Bellyqueen newsletter.

I am "wearing" the baby as we speak...can't recommend that enough - it's the first time I've really been able to get back on Bhuz. As long as he is strapped to me, he sleeps the whole time.

I'm excited about Combino-graphy - I really like how Bahaia teaches.

It is the year for pregnant belly dancers. 4 of the dancers for the last By Dancers for Dancers show are currently pregnant. Me, Oreet, Bahaia... and one other but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to tell anyone about her yet.

Hi, Bahaia! I went to your Ebay store but Combinography isn't listed yet. LOL, am I jumping the gun?

Woops! I guess I am jumping the gun. I thought the item was still listed at least for pre-order, but it's not and Kim just left on a 6am flight to her brother's wedding this morning and won't have computer access until Sunday. So the short story is check back Sunday.
