Thread: Sagat Speak has arrived

Thank you to all who waited. I am shipping them today to Amazon so they will be there for the release date. For those of you who order from me I have them now. I am working on a new web site and will offer special discounts for Zill + Sagat Speak together, in addition to any who wish to purchase sagat. Until then I can take cc orders over the phone on 1 (800) 835-7537. I have changed the prices on the sagat somewhat. Many of them are now cheaper, plus there are 2 new heavier sets for those who already know how to play them.

Hope that this is not blasphemy, but I think that working with Yasmin's clam-shell technique is actually beneficial even for those who play zills. My passion is Turkish, but I find that the concept of varying the striking surface of my zills borrowing from clam-shell style is very powerful. So, even for those whose goals to not include playing sagat, studying the clam-shell technique from Sagat Speak in addition to the traditional technique in Zill Speak can be very enriching.

I ordered the CD and the Almee sagat and I am enjoying them immensely! I love the way the sagat sound and they are really fun to play! Highly recommended.
