    Power Belly Show

I just tried Delilah's Power Belly Show for the first time online and really enjoyed it. To give you my background, I've gotten into a different hobby and haven't been dancing as much lately. I think part of it is a confidence issues on my part and not being able to see myself as a beautiful confident dancer. (Even though I love that bellydance is open to women of all ages and sizes and backgrounds) I have a bunch of DVDs that I like and some that I love, but I just haven't been able to get myself moving and haven't been going to class. So tonight I decided I was going to do some dancing, and saw that Delilah has an online class now. I haven't taken classes with her, but have been curious about her so I decided to do it. So here's what stands out as it's benefits for me. Delilah exudes a femininity and joy. You can tell she is really enjoying herself and in the moment and that encourages me to want to join her. She's not a drill seargent at all. The focus is more on connecting to the music rather than drilling technique or learning combinations. I love that it's constant, flowy motion. I wouldn't recommend it for a pure beginner, but if you have the basics down and know your posture, it's easy to make adjust the moves to your level. I think what she offers has been missing from my bellydance training and it's what I've been looking for. Plus it's dancing to live music, which is great. There's plenty of time to improvise and feel out your own movements and connect to the music. Also, the technical quality is very good. Delilah is front and center and you can see and hear what she's doing. It feels like she's inviting you to share something special with her, which after all, isn't that part of what bellydance should be?
