Thread: Life for Dancing - a Homage to Mahmoud Reda

Has anyone seen this yet? I was checking on Amazon for various CDs, books, DVDs . . . not just Arabic, lol, but I put in Egyptian for one last search before I checkouted out . . . I saw this one which is produced by Nesma (Spain). It was a tribute at his 75th bday in 2005 and is his choreographies performed by dancers from all over the world. OK, I am buying because I would like to see all the choreographies . . . always curious, ya know!

I had not seen that publication,but have bought one of Nesma's CD's and was absolutely in love with it.Have to tell you that i had the joy to attend the opening show for that Homage to Reda in Madrid on October 2005.It was titled Raqs Madrid 2005 and i had the chance to enjoy Nesma and other Spanish and European bellydancers live.

I should have known you caught this show in Spain!!!

.w.: Not quite!!! I know he has been around a long time ..g.: but we should all be so lucky to be so desired by legions of adoring fans! ..l;, Seriously, the man has had a major impact on dancing for many, so it is fitting that Nesma has produced this tribute,

I found this DVD last night at a local record store and was unable to resist buying it. Came here to search and see if anyone had posted about it yet--should have known bhuzzers were aware of it already! :)

I am going to try to watch it within the next couple of days. The still photos on the cover look pretty cool.
