Thread: michelle's pop lock and shimmy -perfect hips

Wow i have 100's of belly dance videos and dvds, and have been dancing for over 13 years , so when i say i got something from a dvd i mean it.
I just put in michelle's perfect hips and have nothing but great things to say this is what i have been looking for to drill my hips and work on my drum solos well explained movements for the beginner and great for the pro to use for drills. i like the way it is shot with her looking in a mirror so we see her hips front and back. She is a fun and professional teacher .

Sounds great... can you tell me where you got it? And who is this Michelle?

I really enjoy her DVD too. I had the privilege to get a sneak preview of it before it was released and I instantly knew that it would be a hit. I've seen so many instructional DVD's over the years and hers really is excellent.

On a side note, she not only produced it, she also edited it and did all the graphics/design work. She really amazes me. Go Michelle!!

Ok, I'm confused. Are you sure you're talking about Perfect Hips and not the shimmy one she has? The shimmy one has the drum solo drills. I'm just asking because I'm tired of the many "absolute" beginner dvds and want something more low intermediate. So how beginner is Perfect Hips?

I have the drum solo and the perfect hips , I like them both , they are not absolute beginner dvds i use the perfect hips to drill with the(run the moves part .Her drum solo is more for intermediate dancer to pro. I like the run the move for drills on this one also , great for mini workout. or warm up before you practice. the drum solo has good shimmy work out on it also. http://www.arabicdance.net/bydancersfordancers.html

If you would like only one DVD:

Only one of them would be $5 off. If you live in the US then shipping would still be free. If you live overseas, then shipping would be $5.

Most people who are getting two are getting Pop Lock and Shimmy plus the Poi DVD. So, those two together are $34.90 within the US and $39.90 overseas.

Now that I think of it, you wouldn't really need Perfect Hips if you also go the other two (there is some overlap in what is covered). So if I was you, I'd only get the other ones... which would make it 5 DVDs for $99.75

I can't wait for mine to arrive.
