yep. didn't work. I tried it on the US side just for kicks and no issue (except you can't change the country to ship to, which does me no good)

This is great! I bet all the shots are good...I had trouble with Rachel Brice's old arms video because the cameraman cut out part of the action.

I "wasn't going to buy any more DVDs", but my resolve is now shot to hell!

Ya but this is WDNY :) I sound like a mad fan - because I am. Their hour long dvds never disappointed me! (I did not take much from her other two dvds either..)

I didn't click with her other two dvds either. I'd rather wait for clips too.

I have the privilege of being the first in the world to see the preview to Rachel Brice’s upcoming set of 2 DVDs, Serpentine. And I am thrilled.

I was frankly a bit disappointed with the earlier two releases because one was just too much yoga and the second didn’t give enough after the preparatory phase.

Well, this set of videos is also about preparation and technique. But it also has two whole choreographies! Rachel Brice, looking warmer and friendlier here, says the videos are suited to all levels…right from those who want some of the basic work needed for intense tribal fusion dancing, to those who want to take the dancing up a notch with backbends and strong confident level changes. There’s a yoga section here as well – one third of the whole program, as I gather, and then there’s technique and shimmy drills and adding upper body moves on top of hipwork. Two choreographies at two different levels is amazing as well.

Rachel Brice describes the set of videos as a toolkit of technique elements and classes for consistent progress in dance.

This absolute queen of tribal fusion has worked very hard to get where she is!

Thanks for the info, Mala. So the technique portion includes shimmies with layering? I'm interested in developing more flexiblity in my back and hoping this video does not disapoint but still would like to see a trailer.

Y'know, it's just the one pic but Rachel looks so much friendlier and more human...I use her first dvd- the yoga one- regularly, but I do find she comes across as very cold and distant in both her earlier ones. The husband has developed a bit of a dislike of her because he thinks she looks permanently miserable! But hey...she SMILES!!! Really, really looking forward to this one!

@Dina... don't be jealous. Just a small reviewer's privilege. And it's only 2 hours before others. :-) Plus you get to see it in the final neat form.

From the preview, I can't really tell if she leads up to back flexibility slowly slowly slowly.... or just tells you one or two exercises and gets right into it. We'll have to see when it comes. Or if I can persuade her to get interviewed. She apparently is super busy. From the yoga though it looks like there's stuff you'd need to combine with other regular yoga for particular targeting of the back, arms and abs. But that's only my impression. You check it out in 1.5 hours or so. :-)

You know Avradoorn I totally think so too! She came across as slightly cold in the other videos even in the interview... but she is way warmer here! She doesn't seem to have an outright gushy personality, but the warmth is definitely there. That itself will make a difference to the video. I think. She's a most exotic looking woman and seems to have hard earned all her amazing movements with massive discipline.

tribal gals will laugh at me - but I was unaware Rachel is THIS good! her hips move at a crazy speed here! totally awesome.

She does look deliciously exotic in the costumes - I think the head adornment and even reference to traditional headscarves make her look even more exotic. Both dance and costume I must say as a "tribal disbeliever" so far are VERY appealing to me here!
I will SO have to get this. But I knew that already when I saw the cover!

(Is it crazy if a COVER persuades you to buy a dance dvd already? ;-D )
