Review of Sera's "Foundation of Bellydance: East Coast Tribal-Beginner Tribal Fusion Bellydance

Ok, as the full title of this DVD states it's beginner Tribal fusion belly dance.
Though I wonder about beginner, lol. Have been practicing cabaret, ITS and tribal fusion for years and this will keep me challenged for a bit with her combos ..g.: I would not recommend this for a very beginner belly dancer not familiar with the basics. I think it is more for advanced beginners to intermediate.
I personally don't care for her warm up. The music just doesn't seem to fit for a warm up. Some of the warm up moves are good some I thought were a tad too fast. ,f::
Her meditation workout music didn't fit either. Meditation music should be soft, quiet, peaceful. This music was not.
Now her combos rocked! She builds on clearly to each move and combo. Great muscle and conditioning workout ,r:;. It covers arm strengthening, development of gracefulness in arms, upper body moves and isolation, lower body moves and hip work. Some of her combos are fast and some combos are slow and smooth.
I was also impressed how she really brought that tribal feel to the DVD. She constantly had her troupes participating all along in DVD with exception to her 2 elegant, full costume performances at end. The dancers are of all different ages, ethics and body types. Great sense of Tribal spirit.
Overall it was a fun DVD to practice tribal fusion belly dance. Enjoy!
