    King of the Nile

    Four Zills UP!

I've ordered hip scarves and small items before, but several weeks ago I ordered a full costume from them for the first time. It's a coin bedlah, similar to the American Icon but (I hope) more durable and with fringe.

The costume was custom made for me for under $300 and promised to arrive in 4-5 weeks. I received an e-mail notifying me when it shipped, with tracking info. It arrived promptly in exactly 5 weeks.

It fits perfectly straight out of the package. I don't have to move a single hook.

It's even prettier than I expected, and looks like it will be durable. I always heard the KOTN costumes are sturdy, so I'm hoping for the best!!! I thought I'd want to add more fringe, based on the picture, but the fringe is just fine on my costume. I also didn't expect the row of large coins along the bottom edge of the belt that make a rich wind-chime sound when I move. Cool!

I'm very very pleased, I think I have a little workhorse of a costume here for a great price. I've wanted a coin bedlah for years, this is the perfect costume for parties!

It's getting so hard to find bra/belt sets these days, but I'm a relic. I think they flatter my figure much more than the sleek Lycra sets, and I love being able to interchange skirts and get different looks.

    A highly recommended vendor!

(the costume is this one, the belt fringe is denser than in the pics)

I'm sure you will come to have a torrid love affair with it. I bought a KOTN and I won't part with it for a LONG time b/c it's sturdy and now I want to custom order that purple one on their website. It looks like a less decorated Bella.

Lauren, Thanks for the info! I've been wanting to place an order, but keep putting it off. Makes me feel better.

I ordered a Farasha (butterfly) costume a few weeks ago. I've heard so many good things about KOTN! :)

that is the PERFECT GP costume!

I am thinking of buying it for myself - I bought an American Icon once and returned it immediately. It was so cheaply made - the base was some sort of cardboard and coins had fallen off in the box. If this is more sturdy, I'd be happy!

Very good to know! I'm desperately in need of a well-made workhorse bedlah so I can minimize wear and tear on my Bella bling .

I agree with this. My king of the nile ( on the swap pages now) has been very sturdy and kept all its beads.. the only reason I need to let it go is my troupe leader only allowed me to wear this costume and I have serious burnout..

I finally got a pic (thanks to ScarletDancer!) and wanted to share it, even though it's not a closeup of the costume.

I've worn it a couple of times now -- danced HARD in it at the hookah bar especially! -- and have only lost one coin. I could not be more thrilled.

BTW...Has anyone purchased one of their Turkish-style costumes? They look really nice!

I'm wondering if they are worth the $500 or if one should just go ahead and pay an extra $100 and get a low-end Bella.
