Thread: reviews on abdominal technique dvds?

Hi there, im looking for an abdominal technique dvd as i am learning purely from dvds. The only 2 ive found are the Princess Farhana abs olutely fabulous and Hannan Sultans ab technique dvd. ive heard great things about both. Ive also heard that Kayas Hip-notic incorporates alot of ab technique, and also Princess Farhanas Intermediate workout / raks n rolls dvds. Does anyone own any of these please? could you give me any pointers on what they incorporate? Also, are there any other abs dvds im missing? Many thanks in advance

I'm curious about the raks'n roll dvd too. I've been working with Hannan Sultan's 'putting the belly back in belly dance' dvd for the past couple of weeks because I Wanted to improve my flutter and belly rolls. It works great for me, because I already had some background in rolls and flutters. This is the perfect dvd for intermediate/advanced dancers to add more ab work to your dance. Through practicing moves and combinations but adding a bit of extra ab work, you can increase the depth of your movement and enlarge your vocabulary. You have to know the basic moves of belly dance to work with this dvd.

I love Hannan's belly dvd but also check out Ava Flemming's Sizzing hips dvd.

The Ava fleming one looks great ..g.:- does it include flutters and rolls?
If so thatd be perfect for what im looking for. It does look very comprehensive- like Hanna Sultans dvd. The problem im having is that here seems to be very little in the way of in depth dvd instruction on movements such as flutters / rolls, and , being entirely reliant on dvd instruction, it's vitally important to me to find comprehensive instruction.

Unfortunately I don't know of a DVD that is comprehensive of any movement that involves the belly.

No, Ava's DVD does not contain belly flutters but it does instruct on how to move your belly while doing interior hip circles - which is very cool.

Delilah's #3 technique dvd gives a lot of instruction on abs -- including how to flip the coin.

I just received Hannan's dvd and worked with it once, and I really really like it. I thought she was pretty comprehensive -- except I have a little question about the nauli, but I can't remember what it is right now :/
