I recently purchased both "Putting the Belly Back in Bellydance" and "Elegant Turns and Arabesques" directly from Hannan Sultan's website.

As an intermediate level dancer striving toward advanced, I found these videos to be very much what I was looking for. I was looking for a catalog of movements along with explanation and demonstration, and that's exactly what I got.

The "Belly" DVD breaks down quite a few abdominal movements, plus it shows you how to drive certain other movements more effectively using your belly. The "Turns" DVD breaks down an assortment of turns and Arabesques in the same way. Each DVD includes a couple of combos as well.

These DVDs are highly recommended for those who are studying at home and need some precise work on their technique. There is no choreography included, and although you will sweat if you try to do all the exercises in a row, this is not a workout DVD. It is designed to teach specific movements; it is then up to you to incorporate them as you wish.

Hannan Sultan did a very smart thing by grouping these movements into categories (i.e. "Belly" or "Turns") rather than just having a smattering of movements in an arbitrary "beginner," "intermediate," or "advanced" DVD. The only addition I would have liked is a performance by Hannan, which was curiously absent from both videos.
