Thread: Taking another look at older videos and dvds: New blog post

Hi all! I'm currently working on a series of reviews of older DVDs that people might have forgotten about, but I think are still highly relevant to the art form.

If you want to check them out, the first one went up today, and I'm taking requests for suggestions :)

The Kentuckiana Middle Eastern Dance Review: Revisiting: "Serious Bellydance with Tamalyn Dallal"

this dvd is totally underrated! Similarly Zahra Zuhair's non IAMED/self produced I suppose dvds! (there is one beginner, one intermediate and I believe also one advanced dvd - live classes filmed which are awesome)

Dina-- I might use Zahra's as my next review. I have them on VHS, so I need to check to see if they are available on DVD. It's a shame some of the really good older material is being forgotten because it hasn't been transferred to dvd :(

I do have at least the advanced class on dvd.. I think all three are available on dvd! Will have to look at what I got!

Yes, please do! I have been thinking about purchasing all three as a set (she's offering all of them on dvd for $99), but I would love to know more about them before spending that much.
