CDs Very Cairo Vol. 1 + 2
Two dancers from Munich, Germany have produced two CDs in Cairo.
I bought them recently and have been using them all the time since then.
There is one with short performance pieces (2 - 6 Minutes), mostly popular songs and some composed for the dancers Ludmilla and Monica.
They've all been recorded with a real orchestra.
There's one piece called "Ahlam" that has this 70's sound about it that I am totally crazy for. I used it last week during a private lesson and my student liked it so much as well that we played it 3 times in a row...
The second is a CD that's mostly intended for teaching it has long sections of one rhythm being played for practice and also some short music pieces with no rhythm changes, so it's really ideal for the class room.
I really recommend both these CDs!

I actually prefer very Cairo vol 3 kings favourite which has got some brilliant music on it, and some great short performance pieces. I also use Vol 4 Powertraining a lot for drills, combinations and teaching finger cymbals

hallo meissoun !! :))
I ve always wondered what these cds were about..
I am desperately searching for good music to practice to (I m quite of a beginner.. if I ever happen to come to Switzerland I d love to take private lessons!!! Where do you teach? Can you recommend someone in Vienna?) One question I came across dvds "Wind Sand und Sterne" (wind sand and stars) on the website you suggested..
Do you know these?
I d guess they are performance dvds?
Best rgds and thank you
dina

I've all 4 and have performed twice to tracks on the first and use the others regularly in class.
Another high recommendation.

Re: CDs Very Cairo Vol. 1 + 2
me again :)
for those who own the dvds - which one do you listen to more vol 1 or vol3?
and which one of the practice cds do you use more often, and why? especially regarding vol 2 and 4 - what do they contain if you were to characterize the albums a bit?
thanks so much :)

Re: CDs Very Cairo Vol. 1 + 2
Definately for me dancing I use VOl 3. I prefer the orchestration over vol 1-too much saxophone. this is my only criticism-I just don't like the sax sound in some of the pieces
For class i use Vol 4. It has some nice steady pieces that i use for combo practise and for sagat. Something I find very useful is 3 of the tracks are a very steady pace but they have accents. this is brilliant when i'm teaching technique
