I just used string. hehe that sounds funny. I'm not using thread, but a thick black string like a kite string and a really fat needle. I think you can buy balls of string at your sewing or craft store. I've only danced in it a couple of times but none of the string has managed to work it's way out of the jump rings yet. I also made sure they were all closed nice and tight. I could see how even several small threads could work their way out of a jumpring one at a time, but maybe if you try a really thick string you wont have to go for the fancy jumprings or attempt to solder anything?

As far as it falling down, well I have a big bum so it isn't that much of a problem for me. Maybe you can install some elastic on the inside of your belt base it would be enough to keep things up?

Okay, I got some black hemp beading string today that should be too fat to work its way through the jump rings.

Hopefully this will work, otherwise plan B will be the split rings.

I just wanted to jump in and add another great recommendation for Susie. Unfortunately I can't afford a whole coin costume yet (but when I can I'll be ordering from her.) But she is currently putting together a great coin headpiece for me, her customer service and communication has been A++.
