    No -- the article (way back in the second half) mentions that the CD name song is about a young man, middle class, who is upset by the cultural change (it may have said decay . . .) he sees around him and he is singing about how everything around him scares him. Another example of how a peppy song can have a serious subject. I think this was said in connection with a trend to sing about more sociopolitical subjects.

    I just skimmed it, but thought it contained information of importance to anyone interested in the culture, and had direct application to the relationship between music/lyrics and dance.

    Thanks for posting it, I've printed it out for later reading! I'm always happy to come across scholarly articles on Middle Eastern music, dance and pop culture!

    I was just debating about printing it out myself, maybe to read on the plane to Dallas.
