    Baladi progression

    Earlier in the day she taught baladi progression and drum solo workshop. Could have eaten it with a spoon. Like "buttah."

    Amani was at IBDC in Canada I think last year. Don't know about this year. She does lovely juicy raqs sharqi but I think the folkloric styles are really her thing. lI took some workshops with her last year after she had spent a couple of months in the ME studying with various teachers. She works (dayjob) in middle eastern affairs area and I think that is what her educational background is. If gas prices were not so high I would be driving to Atlanta on a regular basis to take classes with her.
