Turkish 'I Will Survive'?
I am the collector of this song now. I have two Arabic versions, but I'm hoping to lay my hands on the Turkish version by Saturday, if I can (dancing at a Turkish restaurant, I thought this would be a fun audience participation song!)
I know it's by Ajda Pekkan, and it's called 'Sardi Korkular' but it's not available through any of my usual download sites (itunes, emusic, calabash)
I'm happy to pay for the song, but I don't have time to order a CD. Anyone know where I might be able to download it?

I have a cd with the turkish version, it's 'Türk hitfestivali'-39 hits, european edition. However, the titel of the song is Bambaska Biri, artist Ajda. Is this helpful? I'll try to upload the song to the bhuz music directory, for other dancers who want to know what 'the turkish version sounds like.

I did a bit of googling, since I want this myself - no such luck for me. I will Survive is such a crowd pleaser, I like it for audience participation - a good Turkish version would be sweet.
Kyria - can you upload, please? <battling eyelashes>

Here's a slightly unexciting version by somebody else: http://www.emusic.com/album/Various-.../11042528.html

I should get a life ;-) Lauren, check your mail - and I now have I will Survive in Turkish myself - which is mighty cool. Took a little bit of digging over coffee.

I think my daughter, who is fascinated with all things russian, has a russian version of it. (She used to be russian in a past life you see ,r:; ) I'll ask her & see if she still has it.
She's algo got this cool version of Amr Diab's Tamally Ma'ak in Russian...or maybe it's Ukranian.
Regards
Priscilla

Steffi, you're my hero! Thank you. I think the staff at the restaurant will enjoy this.

The song is in the music directory. The version with the female vocals is much more powerful then the one from baris akarsu.

OMG Shaft! Antimony, Lauren - you know what we have to do, right? I'm feeling a bell bottomed pantsuit and a big permed wig. :tounge: Lauren, do you still have the James Brown outfit?

I DO have the outfit!!!!! *shivers with excitement* I'm in.
If we're gonna be a trio, can we do at least one Charlie's Angels pose?

LOL! OK, here's the word from the restaurant owner:
Oh, well, can't win 'em all. But I wish she'd at least recognized it was Turkish!I liked your music choices very much (except for the I will survive in Arabic) I have an aversion to that song for some reason in any language, too many weddings and girls night outs with that song.
(however, I AM invited back to dance again, so...YAY!)

I'm all in for the Charlie's Angels pose. Magdalena, Antoinette and I did it down in Dallas once. We knew it was wrong as we did it, but we just couldn't stop ourselves. Plus, we were unsupervised and out of town (which makes it totally acceptable).
