    Ansuya Certification/Technique

I took a "regular" workshop from Ansuya this weekend in Houston and she mentioned her certification program, that specifically teaches - her style.

I was wondering if anyone here has taken any of the 3 certification classes and what the content of the classes are?

I'm intrigued, not because I want to get certified, but I'm looking for a different approach to dancing and I'd like to experiment a little with styles different from my own.

    Re: Ansuya Certification/Technique

I have a friend who took the first course here in LA. She covers "everything she knows" and puts it in a binder, but if I recall correctly it includes which dance moves are inspired by India/Bollywood, by tribal, and by a few other regions that she incorporates in her eclectic style. There is a whole day on zills.

    And...that's about all I remember!

I did the Ansuya Cabaret Certification and wrote up a little about it here: Workshop Reviews

Feel free to take a look :)

Mahsati, it was only three days?? The one here was every Sunday for six weeks (and I think 8 hours per day). Interesting!

I've also taken the Cabaret certification course, and Mahsati's writeup is a good reflection of my experience. I've only been dancing a couple of years, but it gave me a lot of good material to work on--new skills like zills, and fresh ways of approaching basics. Plus, Ansuya was great fun and I liked hearing her anecdotes--and her personal perspective on BD and performing.
