Thread: Nagua Fouad dancing to Mashaal?

Hey bhuzzers,

I have a great vid of Nagua dancing to Mashaal, but it is VHS and my VCR is not hooked up right now. Does anyone have a youtube clip favorited of her dancing to this piece? I have searched but to no avail.

And another question. I know Mashaal was composed for Nagua. I'm guessing in the 1970's; can any verify this? And does anyone know who composed it?

I beleive the composer is Hani Mehanna. I also have that video on VHS only.

Which VHS is that? I have the one with her dancing to Sit El Hassan but not Mashaal.

It is Nagua Fouad and Souhair Zaki live from Abu Dabi. Nagua actually dances to Mashaal twice on that video (once in a purple assuit dress and once in a siver/black bedlah), and Souhair dances to Nebtiti Min El Hikaya in a Red Assuit dress.

Thanks. I do have a couple clips of Souhhair dancing to Neptidi but not the one of Nagua. I went on youtube and didn't find any clips either.

Does anyone have an audio file of Mashaall? I tend to get it and another classic Egyptian tune mixed up.

No, that is Set El Hosen. Mashaal is on a number of CDs, including Jalilah's Raks Sharki 1 (Classical Egyptian Belly Dance) and Raks Balady

if you search for Mashaal on youtube several vids will come up (sadly, not Nagua's).
